Paediatric Oncology and Haematology

The Paediatric Oncology and Haematology Department is a leader in treating cancer in childhood and adolescence. Of every 1,000 new cases of childhood cancer detected every year in Spain, 200 are diagnosed in Catalonia.

The National Health System has designated the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital as a reference centre (CSUR) in Neuroblastoma, Childhood sarcomas, and Paediatric allogeneic stem cells. In addition, the same hospital has been designated as an ERN in Haematological diseases (EuroBloodNet) by the European Commission.
