ERN European Reference Networks are virtual networks of professionals and researchers with a high degree of specialisation in specific rare, low-prevalence diseases and more complex pathologies. Their main aim is to find or discuss the diagnosis and best possible treatment for patients with rare diseases throughout Europe, thus contributing to the study of these pathologies and offering the highest quality of care. For this reason, Vall d’Hebron, as a collaborating centre, is a point of research and knowledge. Furthermore, we participate in scientific studies and boast the most appropriate facilities for their execution. By doing this, we help the network to disseminate services and expertise within the European Union.
