Paediatric Renal System Area

The Paediatric Renal System Area is a knowledge area of the Children’s Hospital within the organisational model of Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, dedicated to the specialised care of children with renal conditions. It addresses the diagnostic, therapeutic and follow-up needs of paediatric patients, with a comprehensive approach tailored to each stage of development.

This area works in close coordination with the other knowledge areas, particularly the cross-cutting ones, to ensure safe, continuous care based on specialised expertise. The knowledge area model makes it possible to concentrate expertise, share clinical criteria and optimise resources, contributing to high-quality paediatric care centred on the patient and their family.
