Here you will find all the information about outpatient activity. This includes appointments, tests or treatments at the day hospitals You can access these services: at the request of your doctor or head doctor, at the hospital itself or from other hospitals.

Recommendations for face-to-face, online or telephone consultations

Here you’ll find some suggestions to keep in mind if the specialist consultation you have scheduled will be done face-to-face, online or over the phone.

First appointments or tests ordered from other centres

  • Patients from the catchment area: you will be given a date and time for your test or appointment at your Primary health centre (CAP). You will receive an appointment notification.
  • Patients outside the catchment area: your doctor will have to send the appointment request to the hospital, a specialist will review it and we will send you notification of the appointment. If the request is denied, we will send a notification to your doctor to say why you have not been assigned an appointment.
  • Patients from other regions of Spain: if you are from another autonomous community, you can access the hospital through the care procedures established in your region.
  • Foreign patients: if your country is a member of the European Union, you will need to bring your European health card. If not, you will need to follow the procedures established in current international agreements.

Whenever you come to the outpatient clinic, bring your health card. This document identifies you and allows you to access the centres and services of the public health system. If you have changed your address or phone number, let us know and update your information.

Appointment confirmation

If you have to programme, cancel or change any appointment, you can do so: in person, at your doctor's or Primary health centre; or contact the phone number of the Service or the corresponding Unit that you will find in this table of phone numbers and e-mail addresses.

Subsequent appointments or tests

Go to the Secretary’s desk when you leave the appointment. This way you will avoid needing to come in again or calling to ask for an appointment. On the day of your appointment, remember to bring your appointment slip and any test papers you have.

On the day of your appointment, when you arrive at the centre, before you go to your appointment, you need to confirm your appointment on our rapid admission screens. You will need to scan your healthcard barcode on the screen's reader.
