We are the combination of four hospitals: the General Hospital, the Children’s Hospital, the Women’s Hospital and the Traumatology, Rehabilitation and Burns Hospital. We are part of the Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus: a world-leading health park where healthcare plays a crucial role.
Patients are the centre and the core of our system. We are professionals committed to quality care and our organizational structure breaks down the traditional boundaries between departments and professional groups, with an exclusive model of knowledge areas.
Would you like to know what your stay at Vall d'Hebron will be like? Here you will find all the information.
The commitment of Vall d'Hebron University Hospital to innovation allows us to be at the forefront of medicine, providing first class care adapted to the changing needs of each patient.
The Pediatric Oncohematology Knowledge Area at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital integrates the inpatient ward, Day Hospital, outpatient clinics, the clinical unit, and the transversal service at Sant Just. The area provides care for patients with childhood cancer, hematological diseases, and those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, combining inpatient care with chemotherapeutic and non-chemotherapeutic treatments, as well as sedation for specific procedures.
Working within areas of expertise facilitates comprehensive and highly specialized care, delivered by multidisciplinary teams that include physicians, nursing staff, and other support professionals. The area covers the entire care pathway, from preclinical research to clinical trials and advanced therapies, ensuring individualized care and continuous follow-up. Notable projects include Superbox, Cuida Jugant and RICK Pediàtric for children with brain tumors, as well as therapeutic simulations, which enhance the patient experience and provide emotional support to families.
