La disfòria de gènere és un terme, utilitzat per professionals de salut mental, per descriure una sensació profunda de malestar i angoixa que pot passar quan el sexe biològic d'una persona no coincideix amb la seva identitat de gènere. Al llarg dels anys ha estat de diferents maneres, i el debat continua respecte a allò apropiat de la definició actual. Tot i el debat, reconèixer i tractar la disfòria de gènere a temps pot reduir la probabilitat de depressió, angoixa emocional i suïcidi. L´objectiu d´aquest webinar és presentar una introducció als conceptes de gènere, la disfòria de gènere, i com un abordatge tardà o inadequat d´aquesta condició s´associa a altres trastorns mentals o físics.
Moderador: Dr. José Antonio Navarro Sanchis, psiquiatra del equip d'interconsulta i enllaç que desenvolupa la tasca principal dins d'aquest àmbit.
