We are the combination of four hospitals: the General Hospital, the Children’s Hospital, the Women’s Hospital and the Traumatology, Rehabilitation and Burns Hospital. We are part of the Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus: a world-leading health park where healthcare plays a crucial role.
Below we will list the departments and units that form part of Vall d’Hebron Hospital and the main diseases that we treat. We will also make recommendations based on advice backed up by scientific evidence that has been shown to be effective in guaranteeing well-being and quality of life.
We will guide you from your first visit to the centre, allowing you to find all the departments and make the most of our facilities. Whatever the reason for your visit, we will explain how to get about the hospital.

Doctor
Vall d’Hebron Research Institute
Researcher
I am an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist, responsible of the Placental Insufficiency Unit where we monitor pregnancies with preeclampsia or fetal growth restriction. In addition, I am investigator of the research group of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and associated clinical professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
I began my studies in Medicine at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and through the MIR I obtained the specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital. Since 2017, I am responsible of the Placental Insufficiency Unit of the Vall d'Hebron Hospital, although since 2015 I have been part of it. Previously I had been researcher in the Preterm Prevention Unit where I was able to collaborate on several research projects. During 2013-2014 I had a training stay at the CHU Brugmann in Brussels to complement the training in this field. The work done in preventing preterm birth with cervical pessaries led to the completion of the doctoral thesis at the UAB. Since 2013, I have collaborated as a teacher in the various Maternal-Fetal Medicine courses organized by the Obstetrics service of the Vall d'Hebron Hospital, including the biannual course of Placental Insufficiency. Since 2017 I am a member of the Maternal and Fetal Medicine section of the Catalan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology where we work to improve the maternal and fetal health of pregnant women.
