Introductory visit for pregnant women

At the Women’s Hospital, we offer comprehensive care to all pregnant women, including those who require specialized attention. A multidisciplinary team made up of midwives, obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and pediatricians will support you throughout the entire process, with the aid of state-of-the-art technology when necessary. We are the only center in Catalonia that can guarantee all the necessary care without the need to transfer either the mother or the baby.

During the welcome tour, we will inform you about the team of professionals who will accompany you during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, as well as the different programs we offer to make your stay more comfortable. Some of these services include voluntary early discharge to encourage family bonding, breastfeeding support sessions, and others. You will also have the opportunity to share your preferences with us regarding your birth plan, breastfeeding, and your expectations for the postpartum period.

We recommend signing up for the welcome visit starting from week 29 of pregnancy (around seven months). You may be accompanied by someone you trust.

Data retention criteria: Data will be kept as long as there is an interest in maintaining the purpose of the processing, and when it is no longer necessary, it will be deleted with appropriate security measures.
Data disclosure: No data disclosure to third parties is foreseen, except where required by law. No international transfer of your personal data to countries outside the European Union is foreseen.
