La revista Newsweek i Statista tornen a reconèixer Vall d’Hebron entre els hospitals de referència mundial en transformació digital i innovació tecnològica. En la sisena edició del rànquing World’s Best Smart Hospitals Vall d’Hebron ocupa la posició 38 i es manté, un any més, entre els 40 hospitals intel·ligents més destacats del món. La classificació està liderada novament per la Mayo Clinic de Rochester (Estats Units).
El rànquing situa Vall d’Hebron entre els hospitals que es troben a l'avantguarda d'un ecosistema sanitari en ràpida evolució, en un moment en què les organitzacions sanitàries estan accelerant la transformació digital mitjançant la integració de la intel·ligència artificial, les tecnologies connectades i els sistemes basats en dades en la prestació assistencial.
La llista inclou institucions de 33 països diferents i en total, hi apareixen 410 hospitals líders en tecnologies intel·ligents del món. El rànquing avalua la maduresa digital tenint en compte no només la incorporació de noves eines tecnològiques als hospitals sinó també la integració d’aquestes de manera fluïda en els fluxos de treball clínics, l’experiència dels pacients i les estratègies de salut a nivell global.
Per elaborar el rànquing es recull, amb una enquesta, l’opinió de gestors i professionals de la salut reconeguts a nivell mundial. També es té en compte la informació facilitada pels hospitals i validada posteriorment sobre el grau d’implementació i l’ús de les tecnologies digitals, així com les acreditacions nacionals i internacionals aconseguides pels centres i relacionades amb el concepte d’hospital intel·ligent.
