Un dels moments més emotius ha estat escoltar els professionals implicats en el procés tant de donació com de trasplantament de Vall d’Hebron, compartint les seves experiències des d’un vessant més humà.
L’Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron ha celebrat avui les 25es Jornades de Donació i Trasplantament. “Es tracta d’una cita de referència dins l’Hospital, on fem balanç de tota l’activitat realitzada a Vall d’Hebron relacionada amb la donació i trasplantament, analitzem les noves estratègies implementades per optimitzar els resultats i un repàs dels diferents programes de donació i trasplantament actualment actius”, enumera el Dr. Alberto Sandiumenge, coordinador de Donació i Trasplantaments de l'Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron.
A les jornades també s’ha fet repàs de l’estructura de la Coordinació del Programa de Donació i Trasplantament i de l’activitat de donació i trasplantament a Espanya i a Catalunya. Un dels moments més emotius ha estat escoltar els professionals implicats, directament o indirectament, en el procés tant de donació com de trasplantament de Vall d’Hebron, compartint les seves experiències des d’un vessant més humà.
La Dra. Marianela Guzman ha parlat dels processos i reptes de la donació en mort encefàlica, la Dra. Marian Iriazabal, de la donació en asistòlia controlada, i la Dra. Elisabeth Navas de la donació en asistòlia no controlada. Així mateix, Olga Gavaldà, infermera supervisora de donació i trasplantament de Vall d’Hebron, del model de la infermeria a Vall d’Hebron. Ja per acabar, el Dr. Adrià Giró ha centrat la seva intervenció en la donació de teixits i Vanessa Bueno Supervisora d'Infermeria d'Urgències d'Obstetrícia i Ginecologia, de donació de placentes i cordó umbilical. Vall d’Hebron va liderar el 2025, amb 387 intervencions, el rànquing de centres amb més trasplantaments efectuats, 359 en adults i 28 en pediàtrics. L'any passat a Catalunya van realitzar-se 1.356 trasplantaments d’òrgans. A tot l'Estat la xifra de trasplantaments globals va ascendir als 6.335.
