Resumen de la iniciativa “Mireia, la estrella que más brilla”
La iniciativa nace a raíz de la pérdida de Mireia, que falleció en abril de 2021 con solo 10 años a causa de una leucemia. En su recuerdo, la familia y el entorno crean la asociación Mireia, la estrella que más brilla, con la misión de recaudar fondos para la investigación y la cura del cáncer infantil, especialmente la leucemia.
Cada año, coincidiendo con el cumpleaños de Mireia (25 de febrero), se celebra en Arenys de Munt una fiesta solidaria que incluye actividades lúdicas, deportivas, creativas, musicales y acciones de donación de sangre y de médula ósea. El objetivo es dar visibilidad al cáncer infantil, concienciar sobre la necesidad de invertir más en investigación y fomentar el desarrollo de tratamientos más efectivos y menos agresivos para niños y jóvenes.
La iniciativa recuerda que, aunque no podemos cambiar la realidad de estos niños y niñas, sí podemos contribuir a mejorarla.
