Cal desemmascarar l’atractiu i contrarestar l’addicció a la nicotina i al tabac. Aquest any, la junta de l’SCATT, coincideix plenament amb aquest lema, que és el que l’Organització Mundial de la Salut proposa pel dia mundial sense tabac 2026. La indústria tabaquera continua introduint productes suposadament “més segurs”, però dirigits clarament a captar adolescents i joves i a mantenir la dependència nicotínica. El problema ja no és només el fum: és la nicotina i la seva elevada capacitat addictiva, present tant en productes tradicionals com en electrònics, escalfats o en forma de sals.
Com a professionals de la salut, tenim la responsabilitat de contrarestar la desinformació, reforçar la prevenció i evidenciar que aquests nous productes són una porta d’entrada a l’addicció. Eduquem, desemmascarem i avancem en la promoció de la salut.
