Speaker: Dr. Zsuzanna McMahan, Rheumatologist, associate professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston)
Dr. Zsuzsanna McMahan is a rheumatologist specializing in systemic sclerosis, with a focus on gastrointestinal complications. She trained at UTHealth Houston and Johns Hopkins, where she also earned a Master in Health Sciences and spent 11 years on faculty. In 2023, she joined UTHealth Houston as Co-Director of the Scleroderma Program. Her NIH-funded research includes clinical and translational studies and treatment trials in scleroderma. She has authored over 60 publications and book chapters. Dr. McMahan co-leads the Gastrointestinal Working Group for the Scleroderma Clinical Trials Consortium and the GI ad hoc committee of the World Scleroderma Foundation. She is actively involved in the American College of Rheumatology (ACR).
