The Healthcare Social Work Unit addresses and responds to social or psychosocial situations that affect a person’s optimal functioning in managing their own health or that of their family members, whether due to unexpected health issues or resulting social situations. It supports the patient or family member throughout the illness process, assessing, advising, and informing them of all social aspects that may impact the health situation, with the aim of enhancing social well-being and quality of life.
