Ponent: Dra. Gara Arteaga Henríquez, psiquiatre, del Servei de Psiquiatria de l'Hospital Universitaru Vall d'Hebron.
CV: La Dra. Gara Arteaga Henríquez (Psiquiatre) col·labora, des de fa més de 8 anys, en diversos projectes internacionals en el camp de la Immunopsiquiatria (MOODINFLAME, MOODSTRATIFICATION: Home - Mood Stratification, entre d'altres). Doctora en Medicina per la Universitat Ludwig-Maximilian (Munic), sota la supervisió d'un pioner al camp, el Dr. Norbert Müller, va obtenir la qualificació de Magna Cum Laude per la seva tesi titulada: theory of Major Depressive Disorder: clinical and therapeutic implications. A més, va obtenir una beca per especialitzar-se en el camp per l'European College of Neuropsychopharmacology, i ha realitzat diverses estades a centres estrangers amb el mateix objectiu, l'última a la Universitat d'Aahrus a Dinamarca. Autora de diversos articles d'interès científic, actualment desenvolupa la seva activitat clínica i investigadora al Servei de Psiquiatria de l'Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron, coordinant el Programa d'Immunopsiquiatria.
Abstract: Hi ha forts indicis que un sistema immunològic alterat pot conduir a greus problemes psiquiàtrics. L'evidència actual en relació amb aquesta connexió "cos-ment" obre una nova porta per al desenvolupament de nous tractaments en salut mental (psiquiatria personalitzada), i ajudarà a reduir l'estigma associat a certes patologies mentals.
