Els psicodèlics són substàncies que tenen la capacitat d'induir estats alterats de consciència, i semblen tenir un gran potencial com a possibles tractaments per a trastorns mentals resistents a altres abordatges. En aquest webinar, donarem una perspectiva històrica, parlarem sobre el mecanisme d'acció i explicarem les indicacions i l'evidència científica actual sobre la seva eficàcia i aplicació. També descriurem les diferents línies de recerca desenvolupades a l'Hospital Vall d'Hebron.
El Dr. Soto-Angona és metge psiquiatre. Graduat en Medicina per la Universitat de Valladolid, es va formar com a psiquiatre a l'Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron. Actualment treballa al Programa de Depressió Resistent a l'Hospital Vall d'Hebron i com a investigador a l'Institut de Recerca Vall d'Hebron, en el marc d'una beca Río Hortega de l'Institut de Salut Carlos III. També és candidat doctoral per la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. La seva investigació se centra en l'ús de noves teràpies per a diferents trastorns mentals, especialment la teràpia assistida amb psicodèlics i la psicoteràpia augmentada.
