Els pacients pediàtrics de Vall d'Hebron podran veure cada dimecres fins al 16 de setembre una pel·lícula de Disney Pixar a la televisió de les seves habitacions gràcies a un acord amb la companyia, que les cedeix de forma gratuïta a l'Hospital Infantil. Les sessions de cinema arrenquen aquest 26 d'agost amb Cars 3 i es repetiran cada dimecres de 12 a 15 hores. Els nens ingressats a Vall d'Hebron podran gaudir també de Toy Story 4 el proper 2 de setembre, Del Revés el 9 de setembre i de Los Increíbles 2 el 16 de setembre.
Les projeccions s'acompanyaran amb el repartiment d'obsequis i joguines relacionats amb les pel·lícules donats per Disney Pixar, que encabeix aquesta iniciativa solidària com a part del seu compromís mundial de "proporcionar consol i inspiració a través de moments de pel·lícules i ajudar a reduir l'aïllament dels nens que es recuperen als hospitals". Maria Ángeles Aceituno, adjunta a la Direcció d'Infermeria i responsable d'Hospitalització Pediàtrica de Vall d'Hebron, valora molt positivament aquesta iniciativa, que "contribuirà a fer que l'estada dels pacients pediàtrics a l'hospital sigui més agradable i, per tant, millorarà la seva qualitat de vida durant l'hospitalització".
