Es tracta de la societat científica de referència en aquesta especialitat de tot l’Estat, amb 36 anys d’història
El Dr. Enric Castellet, responsable de la Unitat de Patologia del Genoll de Vall d’Hebron, ha estat nomenat president de la Societat Espanyola del Genoll (SEROD, en les seves sigles en castellà). Es tracta de la societat científica de referència en aquesta especialitat de tot l’Estat, amb 36 anys d’història. “Seré el vintè president de la SEROD i és un gran honor, procuraré aprofundir en la formació en patologia i cirurgia de genoll que ofereix la Societat, en particular als residents que durant la seva residència no tenen prou temps d’especialitzar-se”, exposa el Dr. Castellet, que assumeix el càrrec per un període de dos anys.
La Unitat de Patologia del Genoll de Vall d’Hebron, de la qual el Dr. Enric Castellet és el màxim responsable des de 2007, realitza tots els procediments quirúrgics que ofereixen una garantia contrastada al pacient. Es tracta d’un ventall molt ampli de tècniques quirúrgiques: des de patologia degenerativa de conservació i substitutiva (pròtesis de diferents tipus) a recanvis protèsics complexos a patologia esportiva (lligament encreuat anterior, meniscal), patologia del cartílag o lesions traumàtiques severes.
