We are the combination of four hospitals: the General Hospital, the Children’s Hospital, the Women’s Hospital and the Traumatology, Rehabilitation and Burns Hospital. We are part of the Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus: a world-leading health park where healthcare plays a crucial role.

L’Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron i la Fundació d’Oncologia Infantil Enriqueta Villavecchia han ampliat el seu marc de col·laboració. D’aquesta manera, durant l’any 2018 la Fundació també ha començat a donar suport psicosocial a la Unitat d'Atenció Pal·liativa Pediàtrica i al Pacient Crònic Complex Pediàtric.
L’Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron i la Fundació d’Oncologia Infantil Enriqueta Villavecchia han ampliat el seu marc de col·laboració. La fundació ja fa vint anys que ofereix el seu suport als pacients de l’Hospital. Ofereix suport social, allotjament per a famílies desplaçades, ajuts econòmics, activitats extrahospitalàries i acompanyament a través de voluntariat, així com suport a la formació de metges en oncologia i hematologia infantils. Ara, l’Hospital i la Fundació han afegit un nou àmbit de col·laboració, ja que la Fundació també dona suport psicosocial a la Unitat d'Atenció Pal·liativa Pediàtrica i al Pacient Crònic Complex Pediàtric. A més, també s’ha renovat la col·laboració per seguir donant suport al Servei d’Oncologia i Hematologia Pediàtriques.
Com explica Anna Varderi, gerent de la Fundació, “gràcies al marc de col·laboració amb Vall d’Hebron proporcionem un seguit de recursos que tracten de vetllar per la millor qualitat de vida possible dels nens i joves malalts de càncer en tractament, proporcionant un treballador social, allotjament per a les famílies de pacients que estan desplaçades del seu lloc d’origen i ajuts econòmics a famílies en situació de vulnerabilitat, acompanyament i suport de voluntariat, participació en activitats i viatges. També impulsem la formació de metges en oncologia i hematologia pediàtriques”. La Fundació, constituïda a Barcelona l'any 1989, és una entitat sense ànim de lucre, de caràcter benèfic assistencial, que té com a finalitat la cobertura integral de les necessitats dels nens i joves en tractament oncològic a Catalunya. Per la seva banda, com assenyala la Dra. Ana Ochoa de Echagüen, directora assistencial de Vall d’Hebron, “estem molt satisfets de poder renovar aquest marc de col·laboració”.
A la signatura de la renovació del marc de col·laboració hi han assistit també el Dr. Carlos Rodrigo, cap de Pediatria de Vall d’Hebron; la Dra. Núria Pardo, presidenta de la Fundació d’Oncologia Infantil Enriqueta Villavecchia, i Conchita Peña, coordinadora del Pla d’Atenció a la Ciutadania i Treball Social de Vall d’Hebron.
