El Dr. Joan Pere Barret, el Dr. Alejandro Tomasello i la Dra. Patricia Guilabert, del Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Campus Hospital, van protagonitzar la taula rodona especial del Congrés Nacional d’Estudiants de Medicina.
Durant el Congrés Nacional d’Estudiants de Medicina, celebrat a la Universitat Miguel Hernandez d’Elx entre el 25 i el 27 d’octubre, tres experts de Vall d’Hebron van presentar una ponència conjunta titulada “Medicina en equip: abordatge multidisciplinari en un transplantament de cara”, en el marc de la taula rodona especial.
Aquesta ponència tenia dos objectius. D’una banda, donar a conèixer tres especialitats bastant desconegudes per als estudiants, com són la Cirurgia Plàstica Reparadora, la Neuroradiologia Intervencionista i l’Anestesiologia i Reanimació. D’altra banda, els experts van explicar el cas clínic de l’últim trasplantament de cara realitzat a l’Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron. Més enllà de l’èxit de la intervenció i l’elevada complexitat del cas, aquest trasplantament és un exemple d’un abordatge multidisciplinari.
