L’ingrés d’un nadó al Servei de Neonatologia comporta una separació de la família i un increment important de l’estrès, tant per la patologia que ha motivat l’ingrés com pel desconeixement d’un entorn nou i complex.
Les raons per les quals cal que un nounat ingressi al Servei de Neonatologia són molt diverses, però independentment del motiu, significa que el nen necessita una sèrie de cures especials.
La finalitat de tots els professionals del Servei de Neonatologia de l’Hospital Vall d’Hebron és tenir cura d’aquests bebès des del moment de l’ingrés i incorporar a la família a les cures. El personal de la unitat procurarà estar a prop dels familiars per donar-los suport i fer que la seva estada a l’hospital sigui més fàcil.
