Vall d'Hebron
The Evaluation Commission of health research institutes of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III has unanimously renewed the accreditation of the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital Research Institute (IR-HUVH).
The audit, which took place between March 23 and 27, granted reaccreditation with a positive renewal report. The report mentions that Vall d’Hebron maintains a solid track record, strengthening its capabilities in attracting and retaining research talent, scientific performance, securing funding for research, and promoting joint actions within the framework of the accredited institute, reflecting the effect of consolidated governance and issuing a favorable report for reaccreditation as a health research institute.
Vall d’Hebron was initially accredited by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III in 2009, and in 2014 and 2019, it successfully passed reaccreditation, as it has done in 2024. This is, therefore, the third reaccreditation achieved, which will be valid for the next five years.
