Post-Surgical Traumatology Care Area

The Post-Surgical Care Area at the Traumatology, Rehabilitation, and Burn Hospital includes three inpatient units, as well as an admission unit and outpatient clinics. It provides care for adult patients undergoing maxillofacial, plastic, ankle, spine, shoulder, knee, and hip surgery. The multidisciplinary team includes physicians, nurses, TCAI specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, orthopedic technicians, orderlies, and administrative staff, ensuring comprehensive care and continuity for patients and their families.

Working within areas of expertise facilitates coordination, a holistic view of the care process, and the creation of synergies among professionals. The area promotes initiatives such as perioperative anemia optimization, implementing measures to reduce blood loss and minimize transfusions, thereby improving recovery and reducing complications and hospital stay. With this approach, the area combines multidisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement to provide high-quality post-surgical care.
