As an educator, I started at the Rovira i Virgili University, where I was an associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology for four years. Later, I became a clinical professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Currently, I am the coordinator of the Obstetrics and Gynecology course at the University of the Balearic Islands, where I also teach anatomy and embryology classes. At Vall d'Hebron, I was a resident tutor.
My research began at Vall d'Hebron, focusing on pregnancy and breast cancer. Initially, I studied how pregnancy affected the prognosis of patients who had previously had breast cancer. I later participated in a multicenter European study on how assisted reproduction techniques affected this cohort of patients. Another aspect of my research was diagnosing and treating women with breast cancer during pregnancy and how this treatment could affect the fetus. I published several articles on our findings and won an AES grant to study how to monitor placental damage in pregnant women treated with chemotherapy. In parallel, I directed a study on sentinel lymph nodes in breast cancer recurrence and the ExCel study on chemoprevention with Exemestane in women at high risk of breast cancer at Vall d'Hebron. I also collaborated on several surgical studies led by my colleagues in the unit.
