We are the combination of four hospitals: the General Hospital, the Children’s Hospital, the Women’s Hospital and the Traumatology, Rehabilitation and Burns Hospital. We are part of the Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus: a world-leading health park where healthcare plays a crucial role.
Patients are the centre and the core of our system. We are professionals committed to quality care and our organizational structure breaks down the traditional boundaries between departments and professional groups, with an exclusive model of knowledge areas.
Would you like to know what your stay at Vall d'Hebron will be like? Here you will find all the information.
The commitment of Vall d'Hebron University Hospital to innovation allows us to be at the forefront of medicine, providing first class care adapted to the changing needs of each patient.
This seminar will introduce researchers to the applications and capabilities of Miltenyi Biotec’s MACSima Imaging Platform, a high‑plex spatial biology system based on MICS technology.
MICS is a cyclic immunofluorescence method (staining-imaging-signal removing) that enables ultra‑high‑plex protein imaging on a single sample, allowing dozens to hundreds of markers to be visualized with high spatial resolution while preserving tissue integrity.
In this seminar, an overview of the instrument’s components and workflow will be presented, as well as practical guidelines to optimize experimental output. The session will also highlight key scientific publications and showcase a real use case of MACSima implemented at VHIR. A final Q&A will allow attendees to discuss specific projects or technical questions.
This equipment will be placed at VHIR as a temporary transfer, managed by the Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation Group
